At Middle England Farm, Henley in Arden, we love our rare breeds and we love doing our bit to save them from extinction. We have Vorwerks, Ayam Cemanis, Brahmas, Cream Legbars, Lavender Aracunas, Marans and many more fascinating breeds. However, for many years chicken keepers have been turning more towards hybrids, which are cross breed chickens, designed to be hardier and lay more eggs than a pure bred one.
Most of our birds free range so we've been able to see some wonderful hybrid birds appear, many of which have gone on to be fabulous pets and wonderful egg layers! So we encourage those hybrids and they form the basis of some of our best and most wonderful breeding chickens! We generally own both mum and dad, so we can offer you the chance to 'meet the parents' too! We also have a fabulous bantam range, perfect for smaller gardens or children who like to be hands on with their pets. Our babies are all handled from birth, so they are very used to people, cats, dogs etc.
In Spring and Summer we generally have hatching eggs, newly hatched chicks, just off heat 'junior chicks' and POL birds available, prices starting from just £20. We also have a selection of show quality birds!
We are happy to offer a lifetime of advice on your chosen chickens, including on the right coop, run and feed for your new feathered friends.
